Department of Radiology - Message from the Chair

Welcome to our department! The primary mission of the Saint Louis University Department of Radiology is to provide outstanding clinical care. Patients are the reason for our department’s existence and providing them with courteous and compassionate clinical services of the highest quality is our top priority. Every patient deserves our best effort.

Providing world-class service to our referring physicians is an integral part of clinical excellence in radiology and is therefore a top priority for our department, as well. We must respond to requests from referring physicians promptly and intelligently, and communicate the results of our studies diligently and in a timely manner.

The educational mission of the department is also critically important. Our goal is to instill a culture of clinical excellence in our residency program and to provide our residents with educational opportunities that are engaging, comprehensive, and reflect the current state of knowledge in radiology. We are dedicated to training future leaders in clinical radiology.

Research is essential to the future of our profession. Our mission is to nurture scientifically sound investigation aimed at advancing the state of the art in medical imaging. We are committed to partnering with other Saint Louis University departments in collaborative research efforts involving medical imaging. The department also provides imaging services in support of clinical trials and drug development efforts.
